Terms
Terms of Sale
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy from us — through this website, by accepting one of our quotes, or by paying one of our invoices. We've kept them in plain English. Nothing in them takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see Your consumer guarantees).
Who we are
Central Highlands Laser Cutting (ABN 47 676 745 743) is a laser cutting business at 184 Batters Lane, Kyneton VIC 3444. You can reach us at chlasercutting@gmail.com or 0426 021 841.
Quotes and prices
- Prices are in Australian dollars. The price we ask you to pay includes GST. Quotes, invoices and price breakdowns may list items before GST, with the GST and the total including GST shown as well.
- Prices in our online designers are worked out from your design. We check the price again when you check out, and the total you'll pay is shown before you pay.
- A written quote is valid until the date shown on it. It's based on the drawings, files and details you gave us — if those change, we'll update the quote before we go ahead.
- Trade pricing applies to trade accounts once we've checked the ABN.
- If we've made an obvious mistake in a price, we'll let you know before we make anything. You can then go ahead at the right price or cancel for a full refund.
Paying
- Website orders are paid at checkout by card (processed securely by Stripe) or by bank transfer. We start a bank transfer order once your payment reaches us.
- Items that need pricing by our team (such as custom requests) aren't charged at checkout — we'll price them and send you a separate invoice.
- Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice. You can pay by bank transfer, or by card using the link on the invoice. We may email you reminders around the due date.
Making and getting your order
- Lead times we give (in business days) are our best estimate. We'll let you know if there's a delay.
- You can ask for a rush job. We'll call you to confirm the cost and timing before we start — nothing extra is charged without your agreement.
- Orders are collected from our workshop in Kyneton unless we agree otherwise.
- Website prices and checkout totals don't include delivery, and you can't choose delivery at checkout. A quote only includes delivery if it says so. If you'd like your order delivered, contact us — if we can arrange delivery or freight, we'll agree the cost with you before we send it and charge it separately.
Made to your design
Most of what we make is cut to your own design, measurements or files. Please check your design, sizes, material, finish and quantity carefully before you order or approve a quote — we make what you approve. If something in your file looks wrong to us we'll try to let you know, but we can't promise to spot every mistake.
Because these items are made specially for you, we don't generally offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind, or if we made the item exactly to the design, sizes and details you gave or approved. This doesn't affect your consumer guarantees below.
If you need to cancel, tell us as soon as you can. If we haven't started cutting, we'll refund what you've paid in full. If we have, we may keep the cost of the material used and the work already done, and refund the rest.
Your consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes the consumer guarantees or any other rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Made to your design doesn't mean you lose these rights. If what we make isn't of acceptable quality, doesn't match its description or the design you approved, or isn't fit for a purpose you told us about, we'll put it right — by repairing, remaking, replacing or refunding, as the law requires.
These guarantees can also apply when you buy for a business (for example, purchases of up to $100,000).
Your files, logos and photos
- When you upload or send us logos, images, photos, text or designs, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and that making them for you won't infringe anyone else's rights (such as copyright or trade marks).
- We may decline or cancel a job if we believe it would infringe someone else's rights, or is unlawful or offensive. If we cancel, we'll refund anything you've paid for that job.
- We use your files to quote, design and make your job. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after them and who helps us.
If something's wrong
Contact us as soon as you can at chlasercutting@gmail.com or 0426 021 841. Please include your order, quote or invoice number and photos of the problem, and keep the item. We'll work with you to put it right.
If we can't sort it out together, you can contact Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms on this page when you place your order or accept your quote are the ones that apply to it.
